Sometimes you may encounter “calculation capacity exceeded” error in Sage Enterprise Management. Sage Enterprise Management 4GL developers may struggle on this issue and sometimes are even unable to find exact solution for this error. The reason and solution for this error are discussed in this article.
Reason: This error is related to data type size. When larger or more characters values are assigned to variable, which is declared as one particular data type and that assigned value is greater or have more characters than as per the maximum of that particular standard data type, then it gives the above error.
As shown below that, the reason and solution of this particular error.
As shown, the variable YI is shortint and value for Shortint are between -32768 and +32767. Assigning values less than or greater than mentioned value gives an error.
Here assigned YI value is 50002, then it gives this error because short int will accept less than equal to 32767 only.
